How the Pilot Works

A structured 30-day program designed to deliver measurable results with minimal disruption

Week 1
Setup & Integration
  • Connect EHR, lab, and trading-partner endpoints (<3 days)
  • Select 2-5 real interfaces or feeds to run through the platform
  • Team training sessions (2 hours total)
  • Configure the 12-agent fleet for your HL7 v2 ↔ FHIR / C-CDA mappings
  • Establish baseline metrics (interface build time, analyst hours, message error rate)
Week 2-3
Active Testing
  • Run live HL7 v2, FHIR, C-CDA, and X12 exchange through the platform
  • Real-time support via dedicated Slack channel
  • Daily check-ins for first week, then every 2-3 days
  • Monitor key metrics: build time saved, message pass rate, mapping accuracy
  • Adjust agent settings and mappings based on feedback
Week 4
Results Review
  • Comprehensive results presentation
  • ROI analysis with actual data from your integration environment
  • Team feedback collection and CMS-0057-F readiness assessment
  • Identify expansion opportunities across your interface portfolio
  • Decision meeting: scale, modify, or end pilot

Pilot Program Eligibility

We want to ensure mutual success. Here's what we look for in pilot participants:

Interface Volume

An active portfolio of interfaces (pilot 2-5 live feeds)

Why: Ensures you can expand across the portfolio if the pilot succeeds

Source Systems

Epic, Cerner, athenahealth, or other HL7 v2 / FHIR endpoints

Why: Faster connectivity with common EHR and lab systems

Commitment Level

Route the selected interfaces through the platform for the pilot window

Why: Meaningful data requires consistent, live message flow

Metrics Access

Ability to share baseline interface build time and analyst-hour metrics

Why: Needed to measure improvement accurately

Decision Timeline

Commit to expansion decision within 1 week of pilot completion

Why: Efficient resource allocation for both parties

Don't meet all criteria? Contact us anyway. We evaluate each application individually and may make exceptions for unique situations or compelling use cases.

After Your Pilot: Three Options

Based on results, you decide your next step. No pressure, no commitment.

1. Expand Across Your Portfolio

ROI proven, team loves it → Roll out to your full interface portfolio. Lock in pilot pricing for 12 months as a thank you for participating.

Typical outcome (illustrative — pre-launch)

2. Continue with Pilot Interfaces

Results positive but need more time → Keep the 2-5 pilot interfaces running on the platform. Evaluate expansion in 3-6 months.

Some cohorts (illustrative — pre-launch)

3. End Pilot (No Hard Feelings)

Not the right fit → We part ways professionally. You keep all insights from the pilot. We learn from your feedback.

Pilot Program FAQ

Is there really zero cost?

Yes, genuinely zero. No setup fees, no subscription fees, no hidden costs during the 30-day pilot. If you expand, pricing starts from where we left off.

How long does setup take?

EHR integration typically completes in 2-3 business days. Total time from application approval to pilot start: 5-7 business days on average.

What if our EHR isn't on your list?

We work with 20+ EHR systems via HL7/FHIR standards. If your system isn't pre-integrated, pilot timeline may extend 5-10 days for custom integration.

Can we extend the pilot beyond 30 days?

Absolutely. If you need more time to evaluate (e.g., waiting for a full billing cycle), we can extend up to 60 days total. Just communicate your needs.

What data do you need from us?

Baseline metrics: current interface build time, analyst hours on mapping, and message error rate. We can help you pull these if you're unsure where to find them.

What if we only have 1 interface to try?

We recommend 2+ interfaces for meaningful data, but we'll work with a single feed too. Single-interface pilots just need to run longer (45 days) for statistically significant results.

Ready to Start Your Pilot?

Be among the first to run your interfaces on Health1st AI. Applications reviewed within 24 hours. Onboarding starts within 5-7 business days.
