Transparent pricing, usage that's fair
A platform subscription plus usage credits — one currency for translations and AI-agent actions. Published ranges, not a quote-only maze. Priced to undercut the managed incumbents while staying honest about a pre-launch product.
- Starter from ~$1–3k/mo · Growth ~$5–15k/mo · Enterprise custom
- Translation credits ~$0.05–$0.25 per message
- Undercuts Redox's ~$35k/mo floor · CMS-0057-F fixed-price wedge

Health1st uses a hybrid model: a platform subscription plus usage credits. The subscription (tiered Starter ~$1–3k/mo, Growth ~$5–15k/mo, Enterprise custom) covers support and compliance; credits meter what you do — 1 credit = 1 standard translation, 2–5 for complex types, 25–100 for an AI-generated mapping, 500–2,000 to provision a new interface (roughly $0.05–$0.25 per translated message). It's designed to undercut Redox's ~$35k/mo floor, out-feature free Mirth, and price AI as usage rather than a vague premium. Payers can start with a fixed-price CMS-0057-F readiness package; HIEs can choose a per-interface alternative. All figures are illustrative pre-launch starting points.
Three tiers, one fair model
Every tier is a platform subscription plus usage credits. Prices are illustrative pre-launch starting points — a demo gives you a quote scoped to your volumes and deployment.
Starter
Land your first interfaces fast.
Digital-health vendors & small systems
- Platform subscription (base support & compliance)
- Included monthly credit allotment
- AI-native v2 ↔ FHIR mapping studio
- Private VPC or on-prem deployment
- HIPAA-compliant · BAA available
- Email & business-hours support
Growth
Scale interfaces and CMS-0057-F APIs.
Mid-market health systems & regional payers
- Everything in Starter
- Larger included credit pool + volume discounts
- CMS-0057-F FHIR API modules (Patient/Provider/P2P/PARDD)
- Custom & edge message types (Z-segments)
- Priority support + implementation guidance
- SSO, audit logging, environment separation
Enterprise
High-volume, undercutting the managed floor.
Large payers, HIEs/QHINs, EHR vendors
- Everything in Growth
- Committed-volume credit pricing (best per-credit rate)
- Dedicated deployment (on-prem / private VPC / hybrid)
- SLA, dedicated support & solution engineering
- Security review support (SOC 2 Type II in progress)
- Priced to undercut Redox's ~$35k/mo floor

One currency for translations and AI
Credits let heavier work cost more without a maze of SKUs. Buy monthly or annual packs with volume discounts; overage bills or auto-tops-up.
| Billable action | Credits | Why |
|---|---|---|
| 1 message translated (v2 ↔ FHIR, standard) | 1 credit | High-volume, thin margin |
| 1 message translated (complex / custom type) | 2–5 credits | More compute & validation |
| 1 AI mapping generated + validated | 25–100 credits | The differentiated, high-value action |
| 1 new interface / connection provisioned | 500–2,000 credits | One-time setup value |
| Bulk export / batch job | Volume-based | Aligns to data moved |
Illustrative credit design; exact conversion rates finalize at launch. A translation credit is priced well under Redox's $0.50–$2.00 per transaction.
Model your monthly cost
Drag your volume, pick a complexity mix, and see an illustrative usage estimate plus savings versus a per-transaction benchmark.
Illustrative pre-launch estimate. Usage cost covers translation credits only and excludes the platform subscription and one-time AI-mapping / new-interface credits. Competitor benchmark uses a public $0.50–$2.00 per-transaction range and is directional, not a quote. Final credit rates lock at launch.
A deadline wedge and a per-interface option
Because not every buyer wants to start from credits.
CMS-0057-F readiness package
A fixed-price, scoped deliverable to stand up the four mandated FHIR APIs — Patient Access, Provider Access, Payer-to-Payer and Prior Auth (PARDD) — on the required stack (FHIR R4.0.1, US Core STU 3.1.1, SMART, Bulk Data, OIDC) ahead of the January 1, 2027 deadline. An easy yes for deadline-driven payers; it converts to platform + credits after go-live.
Why payers are behindPer-interface pricing
Prefer a flat, predictable number per connection? Pay ~$150–$500 per interface per month, tiered by volume band — an alternative to credits for HIEs, QHINs and vendors managing many trading-partner connections. It trades granularity for forecastability.

Predictable base, upside on value
Predictable + fair
A flat platform base means a bill you can forecast; credits mean you only pay more when you move more value — with volume discounts as you grow.
AI priced as usage
AI-agent mapping actions consume credits from the same pool as translations — no vague AI premium and no separate SKU to negotiate.
Undercuts the incumbents
Below Redox's ~$35k/mo managed floor, above free-but-DIY Mirth on support and validation, and without Rhapsody's quote-only enterprise license.
